IELTS Interview part three
In this post i will teach you what Part three in speaking module is compare it with Part one, how to understand questions in it and what expressions to use for supporting your ideas.
Speaking Part three is called two way discussion in which examiner asks you variety of longer questions based on Part two(Que card) to evaluate competency in comparing and contrasting, expressing a personal opinion, providing evidence, arguments and presenting and supporting points.
Part three is difficult as compared to part one. Part one has simple and short questions while part three has lengthy, mature and abstract questions.
To do well in part three is to understand questions. Understanding them requires complete focus on listening and finding out main topic and planning your answer in organized way with information, reasons, opinions etc. If you do not pick main idea of the question you will probably answer it wrong which will not satisfy examiner. The most important tip for part three is to listen to questions carefully by focusing on key words to get main idea. Once you get main idea of a question it is easy to answer.

When presenting an argument, it’s important to make it clear whether you are stating a reliable fact or expressing an opinion – your own or someone Else’s.
When you have more than one supporting reason, you can use linking expressions like the following.

Answering abstract questions
It is suggested to answer abstract questions fully with relevant information and reasons. Do not forget to link your ideas appropriately, and to use a good range of grammatical structures and vocabulary.
