    IELTS sample essay # 1

Development of the world is among one of the reasons for environmental damage. Development of new cities led us to cuttings of vast forest areas. Use of different chemicals and gasses in our industries is also damaging the environment badly. Fuel as a source of energy is one of the greatest reasons for the environmental disturbance. Thus I agree to say that developed countries should contribute more for the recovery of the environmental damage.
Cutting of vast forest near developed cities is also a reason for environmental effects. Since the cities are getting overcrowded thus expanding by cutting the nearby forests. Because of this practice the carbon di-oxide CO2 portion is increasing while oxygen portion is getting decreased thus very harmful for human being.
Use of chemical and gasses in different industries is also brutally destroying the natural environment. That is why the ozone layer is affected because of these harmful gasses. Ozone layer is protecting us from harmful rays of the sun. The chemicals without recycling are becoming a part of the oceans thus also damaging the sea life.
We are using gasoline as a source of energy for various utilizations i.e. in Transportation, electric generation etc. after burning of gasoline the waste product we receives is carbon dioxide. Each carbon monoxide gets two oxygen molecules from the air, means that after development of every molecules of CO2 we lose two oxygen molecules.
Thus, I agree with the statement that the developed countries should pay more for the environmental damage. They could educate the third world about the reasons and consequences of the environmental damage.
